After 32 years I retired from Jones New York Company as pattern maker. Working at the garden and seeing beautiful flowers is the best way to lessen my frustrations. Since 2008 I joined Sogetsu School Ikebana class under Ms.Meei-Huey Lin,well known Ikebana Instructor in this area. I would like to share with you some of my Ikebana arrangements done at the classes. Welcome for your kind criticism.

showing lines at Base
This is a composition which requires extra attention to the relationship between the container and the materials. Trimming materials to create a sense of artistic simple form is important for this lesson. I used discolored Maple branches, almost bare Bittersweet branches and one stem of Autumn mums. My teacher said I did very well in this assignment. (10-19-2010)
