After 32 years I retired from Jones New York Company as pattern maker. Working at the garden and seeing beautiful flowers is the best way to lessen my frustrations. Since 2008 I joined Sogetsu School Ikebana class under Ms.Meei-Huey Lin,well known Ikebana Instructor in this area. I would like to share with you some of my Ikebana arrangements done at the classes. Welcome for your kind criticism.

Branch structure
This is a new technique we learned today, which Ms. Lin. got from 8th North American Sogetsu Seminar. Fix branches by tying with wire, which is the most usual way to tie. Keep in mind that the wire knot is visible. We use a heavy duty wire(No.10 to 30) and pliers or other tools. I like this technique which can create any styles you want. They can be put either in suiban or tall vase. Very creative, indeed. (8-18-09)
