Wood arrangement

A piece of beautiful wood picked from park while we had outing trip. I extended it  by joining three other pieces of woods and  arranged Anthurium in one side.  We are starting to prepare  for the 2015 Taiwanese American Conference/East Coast Exhibition.  (5-19-15)

Vines and basket

Materials;Pussy willow ,Mum  button pom and aspidistra leaf
Containers:  Two ceramic vase 

  Orange painted willows were arranged in two different size containers.  The two vines are arranged in a good balance. Yellow Mum coordinates the white mum and the leaves between the two vases so they are finely combined.(5-5-15)

Materials: Calla lily, aspidistra leaves. palm and branch
Container: Basket and two ceramic suiban

I got this beautiful antique basket from Ikebana auction.  It was 36"width and 8 1/2" depth shallow basket and I made two ceramic suiban to fit the basket  for water. The calla lily was given by June, and I used branch aspidistra leaves, palm all from last week activities flower exhibition at Grace church  it still in good condition.(5-5-15)

Ms. Lin asked us to bring in container and kenzan, we all wonder what it is ?. And  the answer was before the class we have to pick 7 materials given by teacher and arranging in 20 minute in  memory  to your mother on mother's day.  We told the stories and explained your arrangement  at front table to everybody 20 minute later.  It was so beautiful to hear everybody.s story for memory to their mother.  (5-5-15)

Grace Taiwanese Church  held a Japanese Flower Arrangement Exhibition on April 25, 2015 from 12:30 to 4:00 Pm . There is a exuberant exhibition also a Demonstration by three certified instructors who are June Wu, Lynn Lee and Grazynka Shaarani. They performed an excellent jobs not only educational for all of us also explore the beauty of leaves, the magnificence of seasonal flower and how to instruct the beauty of containers.The workshop follow at 2 pm by instructor Chih Huang, 15 attendants were excited and they were so happy after they have completed their arrangements . Finally I have to thank our Sensei and everyone for participating  the flower arrangements Exhibition.
